Dreams: Can’t Find Where I Parked

The other night I had a dream that seemed very vivid. Since I don’t dream that frequently, whenever a dream is really strong and memorable, I like to write it down!

I emerged from a building to face a giant parking lot. Row upon row upon row of cars. And yet, I couldn’t remember where my car was parked.

I wandered up and down row after row. None of them were my car. Hours of searching was worthless, I couldn’t seem to spot my vehicle.

After a while people started to leave in their cars, thus I figured I would wait until the parking lot emptied so I could find my car. Yet even after the lot was mostly empty, I still couldn’t find my car. The lot stretched on and on for as far as the eyes could see.

I woke up when I was still wandering, looking for my car. I was frustrated and tearful and worried I wouldn’t ever make my way home.

I did a quick search and actually found this description to help interpret my dream:
“To dream that you forgot or can’t find where you parked your car, indicates that you are dissatisfied or unhappy with an aspect of your waking life. You do not know what you really want to do with your life or where you want to go. “

Interestingly enough, that actually sounds like a pretty accurate description of my life!

  1. We are stuck in our planned move until our house sells. Everything is up in the air. This dream is the only time I can remember having a recurring one. It is a hopeless feeling until I awake and realize it’s a dream.
