Conversations with the Husband

We bought a lovely new saucepan the other day, all shiny stainless-steel with a copper core. We had a heavy saucepan for years, but it disintegrated… literally, the contents started to seep out the bottom one day. And since we wanted to try making some traditional holiday candy recipes from our families this season, we needed a new one.

The pan came with an instruction book, several pages long. Kevin took the book and flipped through it while I washed the new pan. Upon finishing, he held it toward me and asked, “Do you want to read the book?”

I told him that I didn’t, so he replied, “That’s good. Turns out… it’s a pot.”
