Synopsis:
A stoner and his dealer are forced to go on the run from the police after the pothead witnesses a cop commit a murder.
From the IMDB Profile
Notable:
Injuries were abundant during the making of this, so much so they have a whole injury reel on the DVD.
Quote:
I am not gonna wake up murdered tomorrow.
Rating: R for pervasive language, drug use, sexual references and violence.
I had high expectations for this, mainly because I’ve been watching a lot of heavier films lately and I wanted something with more levity. So going into this expecting it to be the funniest thing ever, well… it kind of let me down in that regard.
But as I’m thinking back on it, it’s seeming funnier and funnier. I think I could probably watch this repeatedly and find it more and more humorous each time.
Seth Rogen is always solid, the guy knows comedy. But something that isn’t expected because of his history is just how funny James Franco was in this. His character was really funny and I wanted to giggle every time he came on screen… from his hair to the pants to the facial expressions, he just really nailed the stoner role.
A little more ruthless editing might have helped as some scenes felt like they dragged on too long. I think that kind of contributed to me feeling like the movie was a little bit of a letdown. But it’s still pretty funny, just not my favorite of the Judd Apatow kingdom.
My rating: 3.5 stars

Synopsis:
After Skynet has destroyed much of humanity in a nuclear holocaust, a group of survivors led by John Connor struggles to keep the machines from finishing the job.
From the IMDB Profile
Notable:
Christian Bale is the 7th actor to portray the character John Connor. There were 3 different versions in Terminator 2, one in Terminator 3 and a couple in the TV series.

Two day old coyote. It’s better than three day old coyote.
Rating: PG-13 for intense sequences of sci-fi violence and action, and language
Terminator 2 is one of my all time favorite movies. So truthfully, I was salivating a little when I heard this movie was being made. And then when I learned Christian Bale was involved, I was even more excited.
And the movie delivered for me. It’s not as solid as T2… I don’t think much could top that movie. Hang on, I need to go watch it again…
Oh, yeah… back to this film. I was a little disappointed that Claire Danes didn’t choose to come back in the role as Kate, but then.. these movies seem to have a lot of turnover anyway, so why not have a revolving door in that role. In fact, they should hire someone else for the next movie since it appears Christian Bale is going to provide some continuity by having the same John Connor for a couple movies.
I love the way the films look back and forth throughout time and trying to piece together what will happen with what has happened. I’m very intrigued to see what the 5th film brings to the table. (My husband theorizes that they all lead up and then connect into the Matrix series.)
Good film with good performances and good action. Overall, it’s a worthy addition to the franchise.
My rating: 4.5 stars
