A great teacher is paramount to a proper study. I’m guessing you are just doing it for the physical aspects right now and I think if you could ramp it up to the spiritual/emotional (which would really help you in the balance dept.,) it could be so beneficial for you. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the teacher I’ve been going to these past few months.

1. When I lived in Phoenix, I grew to enjoy the heat too! It makes a big difference when it’s dry heat (a cliche, but true).

2. I’ve always been intrigued by yoga, but have never done it at all. I keep hearing good things, I should really try it one of these days.

3. I’ve never seen the Godfather movies either! I actually watched Gone With the Wind when I was about five years old, when it was shown on TV. I don’t remember all of it, but I’m kind of amazed when people talk about parts of the movie how much I do remember.

I don’t think I raved about Lost in Translation, but I did like it. I know what you mean about wanting to give it another try but not wanting to waste the time, though. The first time I saw Get Shorty I absolutely LOATHED it. Then I saw and liked Jackie Brown, and saw and loved Out of Sight, and when I realized all three movies were based on Elmore Leonard novels I decided I needed to give Get Shorty another chance. And whaddaya know, when I saw it again I loved it. I had that happen with the movie Fools Rush In, too, which I thought was really dumb and annoying the first time I saw it and then years later thought was great.

4. Band geeks unite! I played flute too. :-)

5. Oh, yeah! That’s the PERFECT thing to be famous for! Except then on the nights you were tired and made something frozen from Trader Joe’s, your family would be all, “Oh, look what the famous chef made for us tonight. ;-)
