Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story
Wow… if I thought the nudity was a bit much in ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’, it was definitely in overdrive in this film. My husband said that Judd Apatow is single-handedly striving to make male on-screen nudity as common and accepted as female, a fact that makes him sad. :-) Our conversation at the end of this film consisted of:
Me: That sucked.
Kevin: There were laughs throughout…
Me: But as an overall package?
Kevin: Yeah, you’re right.
There were several funny jokes, but it just didn’t feel like they were seamless and flowing. But John C. Reilly did a good job of playing this character in a silly way, yet still making him seem kind of genuine. But I have zero desire to see this again and I wish a little bit that I could have that time back.

That’s exactly the reaction I had to this movie. And I was bummed, too, because John C. Reilly is one of my favorite actors. The only thing I thought was funny was the running gag of Dewey busting in on the Tim Meadows character doing some sort of chemical substance.
