On the outside, I try to project an image of having it all together. But underneath that, I'm kind of a disaster. Hence... the name of the site: GlossyVeneer. Today is my husband’s 31st birthday. I just wanted to wish him a happy birthday publicly. He is an amazing person. He puts up with all of my crap (and wow, have I been dishing it out lately!) and he never gets upset with me. I love you, Kevin! You are my everything.

Kevin’s not much of a cake person, although he has enjoyed the cupcakes we’ve been sampling lately. (I think the smaller portion without the pressure of a “whole” cake at home is better.) But for his birthday, we went out for BBQ and then this morning I made cinnamon pull-apart bread for breakfast.
