- Complete a Marathon:
Notice, I did not say RUN a marathon. I’m not a runner. I can casually jog for a while, but running just makes my knees hurt. I have a real love/hate relationship with running that I don’t need to get into. So instead I am going to racewalk a marathon. I’ve been reading about the process and have started my training. I’m still not sure what my time goals are though. Maybe I shouldn’t have a time goal for my first one, just completing it should be good enough. Well, as long as I’m not so slow I get thrown off the course. - Become an Exotic Dancer:
Okay, so I’m exaggerating on this one a lot. I’m going to take an exotic dance workout workshop. I subscribe to Women’s Health magazine and they are doing a tour of the western US and featuring different workshops in different locales. I was bummed when I saw that they weren’t doing a kayaking or hiking one around here (kayaking in the desert!). But they are sponsoring an Exotic Dance Workout class at The Palms. The sound of it terrified me. But with the encouragement of my hubby and apples on a stick’s recommendation, I signed up. - Grow My Own Tomatoes:
I absolutely love summer tomatoes fresh from the garden. They taste so much better than the ones in the stores and infinitely better than the crummy wintertime tomatoes. I’m always jealous when my mom brags about all the tomatoes she has in her garden and I look forward to stealing some each time I visit her during the summer. I’m going to take the plunge and try growing my own tomatoes finally. I can’t grow too many because my husband hates them, but one or two bushes should more than feed me. - Still Unknown…
I can’t decide on the last thing to do. Part of me wants to go on a great spontaneous vacation. My mom recommended that I take a yoga teacher certification course. I would love to sign up for some advanced culinary courses. I would love to go to BlogHer. I want to eat at more “chef” restaurants here in Vegas. I could try on leather pants. There are just so many things. So maybe I should just say I will “experience” as much as I can. But that feels like a cop-out. My Type-A personality needs an actual ITEM to check off a list.

Do you know how much I love fresh from the garden tomatoes? Do you know how much my husband and children hate them?
It makes me weep.
I think that you have so many awesome choices, here. I vote going to BlogHer (So I have more than 3 people I know, there!)

let us know how the exotic dancing class goes.

What a lovely and eclectic set of “goals”. How long before the big 3-0?
-
Loralee: I’m really wanting to do BlogHer. Of course, maybe I don’t have to limit myself to all of my choices I listed.
Tearese: Oh, I will definitely be reviewing that experience on here!
Jenny from Chicago: I have about 11.5 months before the big 30. I don’t know if you went back to my archives, but I have 3 different lists of ’4 Things’ to do before I turn 30. Turning 29 was the impetus for writing these lists!

So you have a little under year before the big 3-0, dancing classes should be fun.
I’m not much of a runner myself but I would love to complete a marathon, even just for the thrill of accomplishment.
