Too Busy

Ever have one of those weeks where you feel like you have lived through about 14 days of non-stop business and then you realize that it is only halfway through Wednesday and it has really just been 2.5 days so far?

Yeah, it’s one of those weeks.

But I have been learning some interesting things at work, “the thing” that was stressing me to death is pretty much resolved, I have word from my brother on their pregnancy and another edition of ’4 things’ will be coming. I do have stuff to say on my blog. It’s just taking longer to get from my head to the tips of my fingers to the keyboard and on to the blog due to too many things going on.

Gotta run… the training at work continues.

Randomness

Too Much Food
We went out for breakfast at the Original Pancake House. I would be perfectly content with a bowl of oatmeal or shredded wheat every day for breakfast, but the spouse likes breakfast foods. Since we don’t have a functional kitchen right now, we decided that we’d try a few different breakfast restaurants one day each week during the construction. So this week’s choice was the above mentioned pancake place. I ordered a spinach egg-white omelet. And even though the omelet would have been sufficient, it came with a side of three (completely unnecessary) buttermilk pancakes. The omelet was bigger than my head. This is just way more food that is even responsible to be serving. No wonder we live in an overweight society. Restaurants are serving portions that should feed an entire family while claiming it is for one person. I ate about a third of my omelet and 1 pancake. And I felt guilty the entire time I ate the pancake because it wasn’t whole wheat. I can’t deal with restaurant food anymore, I’ve conditioned myself to the point where I need truly healthy food.

Road Trippin’
I have to go to Utah for a week of work. We’ve got training for portal development. I’m kind of stoked to learn more about portals, it should be good learning. But when I look at my schedule and realize that every second is scheduled, that’s a little tiring, before I’ve even done the training! I also have to drive to the airport to pick up the other employee that telecommutes for my work. She lives in Texas and is flying here for the training. I wish she could have just flown right into Cedar City, because going to the airport adds an extra 100 miles to my trip. An extra 25 from my house to the airport, an extra 25 from the airport to the point on the freeway where I would normally be traveling from, an extra 25 back to the airport at the end of the week and an extra 25 from the airport to my house. Oh well, sometimes ya gotta take one for the team. Or something like that.

Now I must go pack and hit the road.
