EBV+

My blood test results showed that while my thyroid levels aren’t quite right now, they’re far closer than they have been and my medication level is staying the same. I’ll have it checked again in 6-8 weeks to verify, but they think we’re close to getting me “fixed” in that regard.

The flip side is that I have a reoccurrence of Epstein Barr Virus, mononucleosis, mono, kissing disease.

I knew I still felt like crap, but mono… still? The doctor’s office said they think it’s a “very rare” reoccurrence. They said if I don’t beat it, I’ll just keep having relapses, over and over since my immune system is so weakened.

You know what this means? More weeks of restricting my work hours and more bedrest. I’m supposed to take extra Vitamin C, Vitamin E, drink lots and try to sleep for 12 hours or so a day. Who can sleep for 12 hours?

So… drinking lots, that means cocktails, right?

Weather Check: 90°

  1. Wow, that sucks. At least now you know what’s been making you so tired.

  2. Yeah, I was diagnosed with mono 12 or 18 weeks ago. I don’t remember. I just know I’ve had blood tests every 6 weeks for several months now and I don’t remember if the last diagnosis was 2 or 3 blood tests ago. I’m sick of feeling crummy.

  3. I can sleep for 12 hours easily.

  4. Nice, wish I could do that! Even when I didn’t have kids I don’t think I’ve ever been able to sleep that long. It’s a completely different story for my husband, and he does not have mono. :)
