We had to travel 50+ miles to see it, but the spouse and I did see Jersey Girl this weekend. It was pretty good. It is definitely a departure from the “dick and fart” jokes of past Kevin Smith movies, put it is a good movie nonetheless. There is a small soliloquy done by Ben Affleck’s character that is a little cheesy, but it was okay. And the film had some definite Kevin-Smith-isms, lines and phrases that wouldn’t be uttered in other films, and that helped lighten what could have been a completely dramatic film. I liked it, I am biased because I’m a fan of Kevin Smith’s but it’s still a nice movie. And it’s one of the better “chick-flick” type movies I’ve seen lately, and believe me…. I’ve seen a ton of really crappy ones over the past year. (I’m STILL reeling from ‘Alex & Emma’…. ugh.)

Anyway, I have work to do and then I’m going home to watch Alias. Woo Hoo…..
