Neil and his friend Erik just stopped by for a visit. It was really good to see Neil and Erik seems like a cool person. It would have been fun to hang out more, but alas, life is always busy and they needed to get to Vegas to see Maroon 5 in concert. I, on the other hand, have to get home and set the VCR to record Survivor, go to the gym to do my power pump class and then get home in time to see The OC. I live a thrilling life.

There is always a wonderful feeling of accomplishment when you’ve cleaned something up that has been bugging you for a long time. Most people have spots like this in their home (and I am no different in that respect), but today I did not clean something in my home. I have this nice feeling from cleaning up a portion of my work web site that desperately needed help.

I have been working on fixing this section to make it download quicker and clean up all of the old files. Today I finally finished that job. I have reduced the overall size of the section from 182 MB to 98.5 MB. It won’t last forever because I don’t do the day-to-day maintenance/updates on that site and those that are responsible for that will mess it up again, but at least it has been done. Maybe every year I’ll try to clean out their messes, instead of every 2.5 years.
