Check this out – My friend Josh is listed in the Internet Movie Database!
No Snowflake
I went to a wedding this weekend in Snowflake, Arizona. Word of advice, don’t go there unless you absolutely have to. There is nothing there, it is just a dry ugly desert town with a McDonald’s.
While there we did do a couple of things aside from the wedding. We checked out the Petrified Forest National Park. That was a little strange because all the National Parks around my house are spectacular: Zion, Bryce, Arches, etc. But this place was just sagebrush, dirt and big chunks of petrified wood. But it was still better than sitting around the hotel plus it was educational! There used to be a huge forest & swamp & dinosaurs in the middle of the Arizona desert.
We also went to see Metor Crater. That was a bit overpriced to see a hole in the ground caused by a hunk of space rock, but it was still cool. They need to cut the admission price in about half. And they need to kill that huge white spider that seems to have made a permanent home in the 6 foot wide spider-web on the Astronaut Wall of Fame there. Yuck…..
All in all, it was a kind of long weekend for a short event. But I got to go someplace new and I also learned that I don’t ever want to live there!
Oh….and we had to drive across the Navajo Nation to get there. I saw some lady pull over and drop a puppy out of her car then drive off and I saw some dead person lying on the side of the road. (At least I’m assuming it was a dead person. Why else would they be lying on the ground in the desert? Plus there were two people standing next to the person kind of kicking at the body some.) Psycho place…..
