The olympic torch passed through my city yesterday. It was a truly amazing event. It was so neat, the feeling that the world is coming together for this magnificent event and it is all happening right in my own state. I didn’t think I would get that excited about it, but when I saw those people selected to be torchbearers, heard their wonderful stories and watched them carry the torch with such pride, I couldn’t help but feel touched. Television doesn’t even come close to depicting the power of this event.
