So I read this article fairly recently (it might have been in USA Weekend) and it was about Britney Spears. Basically, the gist of the article is that Britney is trying to be taken more seriously as a performer and trying to shed the “child” image and portray herself in a more adult manner. The article then went on to quote Britney as saying she enjoys to drink and she likes champagne. The girl is 19!! Yeah, I know there’s underage drinking going on out there, but just because she’s a celebrity, she can tell everyone, be quoted in nationwide publications and not be in trouble. I don’t care if she’s trying to be more mature, she still has a massive following of kiddie worshippers and she needs to set a better example for them. We’re going to have a mass exodus of slutty, champagne-drinking, 12-year-old, Britney wannabes grow up and be the future of our country. Is anyone else scared?

Last night, I watched that new show The Downer Channel. It wasn’t funny. The only funny thing was in the commercial – the cat Lassie bit. The show is rather blah. That was disappointing.
