On the outside, I try to project an image of having it all together. But underneath that, I'm kind of a disaster. Hence... the name of the site: GlossyVeneer. I think my teaching experience went pretty well. Some things kind of ticked me off. For instance, I told the class I was going to tell them everything they needed to do their web page assignment, so if they followed along, by the end of class they would have the first half of their assignment done and will have learned everything they need to do the second half. So 10 minutes into class, some kid puts his head down on the desk and proceeds to ignore me. Then at the end of class he asks, “Will you be around in case we need help?”
Well, yeah I’ll be around for those that listened. But for those of you who blatantly ignored me, I think I’d rather not help you. You’re attending a university, you can be adult enough to sit up and pay attention for a class.
